Mohammedan Sporting Club begin CFL 2026 with 3-1 comeback win
Kolkata, July 14, 2026: Mohammedan Sporting Club made a winning start to their Calcutta Football League (CFL) 2026 campaign, coming from behind to defeat NBP Rainbow AC 3-1 at the Mohammedan Sporting Ground.
The season opener was attended by West Bengal Sports Minister Dr. Indranil Khan and Cabinet Minister Kshudiram Tudu, who met the players and wished both teams success before kick-off.
NBP Rainbow AC took a 1-0 lead before half-time despite Mohammedan Sporting enjoying more possession. The hosts produced a spirited second-half comeback.
Juwel Ahmed restored parity with a header in the 69th minute before MD Fardin Ali Molla headed home six minutes later to put Mohammedan Sporting ahead. Israfil Dewan sealed the victory with a late goal in stoppage time, completing a convincing 3-1 comeback.
