🟣 KKR Practice Report – Today

Kolkata Knight Riders continued their preparations for IPL 2026 with an intensive training session at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

🏏 Session Overview

The practice session is part of KKR’s final preparation phase before the IPL season.

Training is being held in the evening (around 5 PM to 9 PM) with high-intensity drills.

Activities included:

Centre-wicket practice for match-like batting (range hitting).

Separate net sessions for bowlers, especially spinners and pacers.

👥 Key Participants

Session led by head coach Abhishek Nayar with support staff including Shane Watson.

Captain Ajinkya Rahane and players like Rinku Singh, Rahul Tripathi, and Ramandeep Singh were present.

Some international players (e.g., Varun Chakaravarthy) are expected to join later.

💬 Team Focus

Coach Nayar emphasized mental preparation and team mindset as the key focus ahead of IPL 2026.

The goal is to fine-tune performance and aim for a fourth IPL title.

⚠️ Squad & Selection Updates

KKR are dealing with pace bowling concerns due to injuries, especially Harshit Rana.

Several fast bowlers (like Navdeep Saini, Akash Madhwal, Simarjeet Singh) were seen in nets as possible replacements.

Trial players such as Sandeep Warrier and KM Asif are also being evaluated.
